NORTHERN COLLEGES GROUP
COLLABORATIVE PROCUREMENT FOR DESKTOP COMPUTERS
As you may be aware, over the last three years, Colleges within the Lancashire, Yorkshire and Humberside and Greater Manchester and Merseyside areas have collaborated together in placing large volume / value orders for desktop computers for their relative institutions.
These collaborative procurements have generated efficiencies in excess of £400,000 between the institutions involved and given the value of this work, there is significant interest being shown in our region to adopt a collaborative approach for I.T procurement in 2011 - 2012.
With this in mind, the Northern Colleges Collaborative Group are proposing to lead this collaboration on behalf of interested Colleges and are now seeking to ascertain the level of commitment that institutions are prepared to make in consideration of this collaborative opportunity.
